? Hello and welcome to my blog!
My name is Haru, a licensed pharmacist with over 8 years of experience working in community pharmacies in Japan.
This blog is dedicated to sharing helpful and easy-to-understand information about:
- Over-the-counter (OTC) medicines available in Japan
- How to use prescription medications properly
- Traditional Japanese Kampo (herbal) medicine
- Health and wellness tips from a pharmacist’s perspective
? My Background
I graduated from a pharmacy school in Japan and have been working closely with patients ever since. I regularly collaborate with physicians, including my brother who is a medical doctor, to provide the best advice possible for patients and their families.
My passion is helping people—both locals and visitors to Japan—better understand their medicine and health.
? Why This Blog?
Many people visiting or living in Japan find it difficult to navigate medications due to language barriers. I created this English blog to:
- Help non-Japanese speakers choose safe and effective OTC products
- Explain medical concepts in plain English
- Share pharmacist-approved health advice anyone can trust
